Check Out Pics From Helgenberger’s Walk Of Fame Ceremony

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s former leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past Monday, January 23. You can find some pictures from the ceremony below. Vassey’s ‘Sexting in Suburbia’ Airs This Saturday

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will appear in the new Lifetime movie Sexting in Suburbia, airing this Saturday, January 14 at 8/7c. The film features several CSI and CSI: New York guest stars, including Judith Hoag (“Getting Off”) and Jenn Proske (“Crossroads”). Check out a preview after the jump!

Interview: Alex Carter

Though CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has featured a bevy of rotating detectives throughout its twelve season run, one name certainly sticks out amongst the rest: Detective Vartann. Alex Carter plays one of Las Vegas’ finest detectives–in more ways than one, some will argue–but also gets the very high honor of playing a member of law enforcement who shares somewhat of a romantic relationship with a CSI. Vassey & Shankar Attached To New Projects

Two CSI: Crime Scene Investigation veterans have found new television projects.

Former Executive Producer and writer Naren Shankar is attached to the new supernatural series Grimm. The NBC series stars Silar Weir Mitchell (“Room Service”) and Sasha Roiz (“Pool Shark”) and is scheduled to debut October 28 at 9PM.

Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) also has something to be thankful for this TV season: her half-hour pilot has been sold. Details on the project are currently under wraps, but CSI Files wishes her all the best.

The actor and head-researcher makes his first appearance in season twelve during this week’s episode “Bittersweet” with quite a reveal: he’s been promoted! Vassey Visits ‘Necessary Roughness’

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) has booked a recurring role on the USA Network series Necessary Roughness. The series stars Callie Thorne as a highly sought after psychotherapist for high-profile clients such as athletes, entertainers, and politicians. Vassey will appear in at least two episodes this season, with the possibility of returning for more.

Vassey will appear as Gabrielle Pittmann in the September 7 and 14 installments. “[It] couldn’t be a more fun group,” she tells CSI Files. Adding, “Loved every second. Hope to go back for more fun next season.”

It’s been a little over a year since Liz Vassey, the actress who played the charming and vivacious Wendy Simms, was shockingly let go from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation after five years of playing the role. It was devastating news for the actress and fans alike as just prior to the dismissal, progress was being made between the D.N.A. technician and her co-worker and potential love interest David Hodges (Wallace Langham). Vassey Guest-Stars On ‘Castle’ Tonight

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actress Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will appear in this week’s episode of the ABC crime drama Castle, which airs tonight at 10:01pm ET/PT. Here is a synopsis of the episode:

Castle & Beckett work the case of a man found dead inside a pizza oven, but it turns out not to be someone associated with the restaurant—it was a reporter. Was his story, “The Pizza Wars,” enough to get him killed, or was it something much deeper than that?

According to TVLine.com, former CSI: Crime Scene investigation actress Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will guest-star on the ABC crime series Castle later this year. The episode, which is scheduled to air in the spring, will feature Vassey as a real estate broker who gets caught up in a deadly pizza feud.

Mendelsohn Shares Details About Vassey’s Exit

As CSI Files previously reported, Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will be leaving CSI: Crime Scene Investigation because her contract option was not picked up for another season. Showrunner Carol Mendelsohn offered a teaser about how the show will explain the character’s exit and what it means for Wendy’s coworker and love interest David Hodges (Wallace Langham). Fox & Guilfoyle Sign On For Season 11

Entertainment Weekly reports that Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) has inked a contract to stay with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for the show’s eleventh season. The details of the deal are a secret, however, so it is not known whether Fox will be billed as a series regular or recurring guest star. The site also indicates that Paul Guilfoyle‘s future on the show is guaranteed—the actor that plays Jim Brass has signed a new contract to stay with CSI.

Helgenberger Signs New ‘CSI’ Deal

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) will be returning to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for at least another season. Costars George Eads (Nick Stokes), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders) and Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) are still in contract negotiations. Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) is set to return in some capacity for season eleven, but as CSI Files previously reported, Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) will be leaving the crime drama.
