‘CSI:NY’ Pulls In Highest Season 8 Ratings So Far

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Air Apparent”, got a bump in ratings on Friday, October 21. The series pulled in 10.70 million viewers, which is the highest number for the season so far. This put New York ahead of the second hour of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (6.05 million), the first hour of Dateline (4.15 million), Supernatural (1.82 million) and a repeat of Fringe (1.73 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI: NY was up with a 1.8 rating/6 share, followed by Makeover (1.7/5), Dateline (1.0/3), Supernatural (0.7/2) and Fringe (0.5/2).

‘CSI’ Ratings Drop Slightly Against The World Series

The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “CSI Down”, came in second place on Wednesday, October 19. The episode pulled in 10.64 million viewers, which was down from last week and put the crime drama behind Game 1 of the World Series on Fox (12.88 million from 10:00-11:00pm). Rounding out the hour were Revenge (7.94 million) and Law & Order: SVU (7.58 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, the 10:00pm hour of Game 1 earned a 4.2 rating/11 share. CSI was second with 2.6/7, followed by Revenge (2.5/7) and SVU (2.1/5).

The episode pulled in 10.64 million viewers and a 2.4 rating (no share available) in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers.

The numbers were up for the latest episode of CSI: New York, “Officer Involved”, which pulled in 10.02 million viewers on Friday, October 14. This put the crime drama ahead of the first hour of Dateline (5.32 million), ABC’s combination of Modern Family (3.69 million) and Suburgatory (3.14 million) repeats, Fringe (3.14 million) and Supernatural (1.62 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York earned a 1.7 rating/5 share for the hour, which put it in first place ahead of Dateline (1.3/4), the 1.2/4 earned by Fringe and ABC’s comedy repeats, and Supernatural (0.7/2).

The most recent episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Maid Man”, split leadership on Wednesday, October 12. The episode pulled in 10.78 million viewers, which was down from the previous episode. This was enough to put the crime drama ahead of Revenge (7.94 million) and Law & Order: SVU (7.18 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Revenge came out on top with a 2.7 rating/7 share, followed by CSI (2.6/7) and SVU (2.1/5). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York earned a 1.6 rating/5 share, which was equal to the score from last week. The second episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s twelfth season took the top spot on Wednesday, September 28. “Tell Tale Hearts” pulled in 11.65 million viewers, which was down nearly a million from the season premiere last week. However, this was still enough to beat competitors Revenge (8.55 million) and Law & Order: SVU (7.14 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI earned the same score as the premiere: a 3.1 rating/8 share. This put it ahead of Revenge (2.8/7) and SVU (2.0/5).

Final Ratings For The ‘Miami’ Premiere Are In

The season ten premiere of CSI: Miami was delayed in some areas due to football overrun, but the final Sunday night ratings are now available. “Countermeasures” pulled in 9.89 million viewers and a 2.3 rating/6 share in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. These numbers are pretty even with the season nine finale. The episode aired against football on NBC, which averaged 20.36 million viewers and 8.3/21 from 8:30-11:00pm. The other scripted programme on at 10:00pm was the new series Pan Am, which earned 11.06 million viewers and 3.1/8 for ABC.

The Season 8 Premiere Of ‘CSI:NY’ Takes The Top Spot

CSI: New York’s eighth season debuted at the top of the ratings on Friday, September 23. “Indelible” pulled in 10.66 million viewers, beating Dateline (6.39 million), a repeat of the Revenge pilot (4.13 million), Fringe (3.53 million) and Supernatural (1.95 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York earned a 1.8 rating/6 share. This tied the crime drama with Dateline (1.8/6) and put it ahead of Fringe (1.5/5), Revenge (1.0/3) and Supernatural (0.8/2). Compared to the season seven finale, New York’s ratings were up slightly but remain even.

The Season 12 Premiere Of ‘CSI’ Shares The Top Ratings Spot

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation started its twelfth season with a first place finish in overall viewers for “73 Seconds” on Wednesday, September 21. The premiere pulled in 12.59 million viewers in its new timeslot, putting it ahead of the new ABC drama Revenge (10.15 million) and Law & Order: SVU (7.60 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Revenge came first with a 3.4 rating/9 share, followed by CSI (3.1/8) and SVU (2.3/6). These numbers may be a far cry from past seasons of CSI, but the premiere earned more than a million more viewers than the season 11 finale back in May, and the demo was up as well. We’ll see in the coming weeks how the crime drama fares in its new timeslot with new leading man Ted Danson (DB Russell).

‘CSI’ Ranks #10 In Overall Viewers For 2010-2011

Deadline posted the complete series rankings for the 2010-2011 broadcast TV season. In overall viewers, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was #10 with 13.63 million viewers, CSI: Miami earned 11.97 million to come in #21, and CSI: New York took 33rd place with 10.82 million viewers. In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI was 28th with a 3.3 rating/8 share on average for the season. Miami was #42 with 2.9/8, and CSI:NY came in 75th with 2.1/6.
