‘CSI:NY’ Experiences Bump In Ratings

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Misconceptions”, shared the top spot on Friday, October 26. The crime drama pulled in 9.97 million viewers, which is up from last week, and this was more than enough to put New York ahead of Grimm (6.01 million), All Access Nashville With Katie Couric (5.55 million), Fringe (2.64 million) and Nikita (0.79 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Grimm won the hour with a 1.9 rating/6 share at 9:00pm. CSI: NY and All Access tied for second with 1.4/4, which is up from last week. Fringe (0.9/3) and Nikita (0.2/1) rounded out the hour.

‘CSI’ Loses Viewers, Stays Steady In The Key Demo

The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “It Was A Very Good Year”, shared the top spot on Wednesday, October 24. The series pulled in 9.84 million viewers, which is down quite a bit from the previous episode. However, some of the decrease may be due to sports competition, since the crime drama was up against Game 1 of the World Series on Fox, which pulled in 9.44 million viewers during the 10:00pm hour. (Please note that sports ratings are subject to major adjustments.) Nashville (6.58 million) and Chicago Fire (6.30 million) came in third and fourth place, respectively. In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Game 1 earned a 3.0 rating/8 share for the hour. CSI’s 2.4/6 was steady with last week’s numbers, while Nashville (2.0/6) and Chicago (1.8/5) rounded out the hour.

‘CSI:NY’ Down In Viewers & The Demo

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Unspoken”, split leadership on Friday, October 19. The crime drama pulled in 9.12 million viewers, which is down from last week but still enough to beat Primetime: What Would You Do? (4.93 million), Grimm (4.87 million) and the season premiere of Nikita (0.95 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Primetime won the 9:00pm hour with a 1.6 rating/5 share, and Grimm earned 1.5/5. CSI: New York was third with 1.2/4, which is down from the previous episode, and Nikita (0.3/1) rounded out the hour. Fox aired live Baseball Playoffs (6.36 million, 1.7/6) from 8:00-10:00pm, but these ratings are subject to major adjustments.

The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Wild Flowers”, earned the top spot on Wednesday, October 17. The crime drama pulled in 10.56 million viewers, which is down slightly from last week, but this was still enough to put CSI ahead of Nashville (6.75 million) and Chicago Fire (5.91 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI won the hour with a 2.4 rating/7 share, which is also down from the previous episode. Nashville came in second with 2.0/6, and Chicago rounded out the hour with 1.5/4.

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: New York has been moved back to its old timeslot. On Friday, October 12, “2,918 Miles” experienced a bump in the ratings at 9:00pm. The episode pulled in 9.42 million viewers, which are the highest numbers so far this season; this was more than enough to put New York ahead of Grimm (4.95 million), Primetime: What Would You Do? (4.67 million), Fringe (2.71 million), and a repeat of Beauty and the Beast (1.42 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Grimm won at 9:00pm with a 1.5 rating/5 share. CSI: NY was next with 1.4/4, which is up from last week. Primetime (1.3/4), Fringe (1.0/3) and Beauty (0.4/1) rounded out the hour.

The season thirteen premiere of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation aired on Wednesday, September 26, and the crime drama earned the highest ratings for the hour. “Karma to Burn” pulled in 10.66 million viewers, which is consistent with last season’s finale and enough to put CSI ahead of the second hour of Law & Order: SVU (7.67 million) and the Revenge recap (5.39 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI beat the competition with a 2.5 rating/7 share for the hour, which is even with the season twelve finale. CSI: New York aired its eighth season finale on Friday, May 11, and the crime drama won in total viewers while coming up short in the key demo. “Near Death” pulled in 9.03 million viewers, which is up slightly from the previous episode, and these numbers were enough to put CSI: NY ahead of Primetime: What Would You Do? (4.79 million), Grimm (4.46 million), Fringe (3.16 million) and Supernatural (1.68 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York dropped from the previous episode with a 1.1 rating/4 share for the hour. This put the crime drama behind Primetime (1.6/5) and Grimm (1.2/4), but ahead of Fringe (1.0/3) and Supernatural (0.7/2).
