2011 was a bittersweet year for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s George Eads. During the summer hiatus, Eads happily wed his girlfriend Monika Casey after spending more than five years together. Shortly after the passing of Maverick, his dog and best friend of many years, Eads received news that his father’s health was rapidly declining, ultimately ending in the unfortunate passing this last November. With all of the pressing personal matters in his life, the Nick Stokes actor asked producers of the show that made him a household name to write a “light” start of the season for him so he could travel back and forth from California and Texas to spend some time with his father Arthur Coleman Eads. Now back on the show full-time, the actor is “eternally grateful” to his bosses at CSI for allowing him to be away from the forensic series and promises to be the “best Nick Stokes imaginable.” In his first interview since last year, Eads talks with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders about the loss of another CSI star, how long he imagines being on the CBS series, a potential love interest, and much more. Thursday, December 15th, 2011It’s good to be Elizabeth Devine. Just a few hours after preliminary ratings surfaced, the Jill of all trades (fair to say for someone who can write and solve crimes in real life!) talks with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders about some behind-the-scenes changes required for her episode, saying goodbye to a best friend, and teases what’s to come after CSI‘s winter hiatus. Danson: I Have To Figure This Out For Myself
Sunday, September 4th, 2011Prior to joining the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, newcomer Ted Danson (DB Russell) was familiar with the work of former leading men William Petersen (Gil Grissom) and Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston). “(Fishburne is) one of the best actors around, so I watched a lot of what he did because I wanted to see how good he was,” Danson told the Boston Herald. “But then, basically, I have to let Laurence and Billy go and try to figure this out for myself. I don’t know if I have any great lessons to learn other than appreciate them.”

Will Grissom Visit ‘CSI’ This Season?
Friday, August 5th, 2011Former leading man William Petersen reprised his role as Gil Grissom in “The Two Mrs Grissoms” during CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s eleventh season, but the character only appeared via Skype during the episode. Is it possible that he’ll come back during season 12? “Listen, every year we go to Billy—it’s sort of like a pilgrimage—to say, ‘Will you come back?’ Last year we were successful, and he came back for that one episode,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told TV Line. “We talked to Billy a few weeks ago, and he was talking about what Gil might cook for dinner for Sara [Sidle, Jorja Fox]—and he said ‘grilled cheese went very well with beer’—so you never know. I mean, they are married, and we’d like the audience to be able to see Gil and Sara sometime.”
TV Guide’s William Keck posted on Twitter that Petersen has indeed agreed to come back to CSI in order to help leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) with her upcoming exit from the series. However, CBS has not confirmed Petersen’s temporary return.
