‘NYC 22′ Takes Over The ‘Miami’ Timeslot April 15

CSI Files previously reported that the tenth season of CSI: Miami would only contain 19 episodes. The season will end early this year, and CBS will debut the new cop drama NYC 22 in Miami’s Sunday 10:00pm ET/PT timeslot on April 15.

‘CSI’ Premieres March 13 In UK

After an extended hiatus from UK’s channel FIVE, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will soon return to their schedule, CSI Files has learned exclusively. Season Twelve, which is currently airing in the United States, will premiere March 13.

‘Widow Detective’ Gets A Director

As CSI Files previously reported, CBS ordered CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Executive Producer Carol Mendelsohn‘s new series to pilot. Widow Detective, written by David Hubbard, now has a director in placeDavis Guggenheim. Guggenheim is married to Elisabeth Shue, who will join CSI February 15.

CBS Alters Midseason Schedule, Puts ‘CSI:NY’ On 6-Week Hiatus

CBS has made some changes to its midseason schedule, and the alterations will affect the Friday night lineup. CSI: New York will return from the winter hiatus on Friday, January 6. However, starting February 17, Undercover Boss will shift to the Friday 8:00pm ET/PT timeslot, pushing A Gifted Man back to 9:00pm ET/PT and removing CSI: NY from the schedule. This will last for six weeks, and New York will return to the Friday 9:00pm ET/PT slot on March 30. Here is a list with the new schedule (all times ET/PT):

CBS Friday, Effective Feb. 17
8:00-9:00pm Undercover Boss (Time Period Premiere)
9:00-10:00pm A Gifted Man (Time Period Premiere)
10:00-11:00pm Blue Bloods

CBS Friday, Effective March 30
8:00-9:00pm Undercover Boss
9:00-10:00pm CSI: NY
10:00-11:00pm Blue Bloods

Vote For Your Female ‘CSI’ Crushes

TV Line is currently holding a tournament bracket in which fans can vote for their “Female Law-Enforcement Crushes”. Voting is still open for day 5, which includes Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami’s Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter). ‘CSI’ Nominated For People’s Choice Award

The nominations have been announced for the People’s Choice Awards 2012, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is one of the shows up for “Favorite TV Crime Drama”. The other nominees in the category are fellow CBS series NCIS and Criminal Minds, along with Castle and Bones. You can vote from now until December 6, and the award ceremony will air live on Wednesday, January 11 from 9:00-11:00pm ET (delayed PT). CBS Changes Lineup, Airs Repeats 10/28

CBS previously had a new episode of CSI: New York (“Get Me Out Of Here!”) scheduled for tonight, but the network has decided to fill the lineup with repeats instead. This is due to Game 7 of the World Series, which will air on Fox. Instead of original programming, CBS will air the pilot of A Gifted Man at 8:00pm ET/PT, followed by a repeat of CSI: Miami (“Sudden Death”) at 9:00pm ET/PT and a repeat of CSI: New York (“Smooth Criminal”) at 10:00pm ET/PT.
