Jonathan Togo, the Massachusetts-born actor who’s portrayed the role for the past seven years, spoke with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders this past weekend from his Los Angeles home. In the following interview Togo previews the upcoming season, what it’s like working on a soon-to-be decade old series, the power of Twitter, and those infamous sweater vests. Spoilers inside!

Linn Purchases Home After 2 Decades Of Renting

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

For the past 20 years, CSI: Miami actor Rex Linn (Frank Tripp) rented a home with less than 1,000 square feet of living space. After getting engaged to Renee DeRese in June, the actor decided it was time to buy a house. He and his fiancée will now share a 3,355-square-foot home in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, California with four bedrooms, five bathrooms and plenty of amenities. They will enjoy a solar-heated swimming pool, a backyard cabana bar and a fire pit. Friends will get to share the space when Linn hosts parties during college football season.

Linn is particularly excited about the kitchen in his new $1.4 million dollar home. He is an enthusiastic cook who has worked out of a small kitchen with no dishwasher for two decades. “I walked into this kitchen, and it was like walking into Disneyland for the first time,” the actor told the Los Angeles Times.

You can find several pictures of Linn’s home here.
