‘New York”s Premiere Comes Out On Top

CSI: New York kicked off the new season with “Epilogue” in the 10:00pm hour on Wednesday, September 23. The episode earned the top spot by pulling in 14.57 million viewers and a 4.0 rating/11 share among adults 18-49. The new ABC series Eastwick was second with 8.53 million viewers and a 3.0/ 8 in the key demo, followed by NBC’s The Jay Leno Show with 6.43 million viewers and 2.0/ 5.

The ‘Miami’ Premiere Snags The Top Spot

The season premiere of CSI: Miami won the 10:00pm hour on Monday, September 21. “Out of Time” had 13.73 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/11 share among adults 18-49. It beat ABC drama Castle (9.43 million, 2.3/6) and NBC’s The Jay Leno Show (5.67 million, 1.8/5) in both overall viewers and the key demographic. Miami had more than double the viewers of Leno’s program, and among adults 18-49, it beat the combined scores of both competitors.

Leno Debut Wins Ratings

After months of hype and anticipation, Jay Leno debuted his new primetime show this week, which NBC will air at 10:00pm ET/PT from Monday-Friday. The first episode of The Jay Leno Show pulled in 17.66 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/13 share among adults 18-49. Starting next week, Leno will get primetime competition from 10:00pm dramas, including CSI: Miami and CSI: New York on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
