Fans of Eva La Rue and CSI: Miami will be somewhat disappointed this season. Due to budget constraints, the Natalia Boa Vista actress will be written out of multiple episodes, the first of which airs this Sunday. CSI: Miami‘s Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) will miss three episodes of the show this season. According to the actress’ Twitter account, the cuts were not made due to creative reasons, but unfortunately caused by budget issues. It is unknown how the character will be written out.
Back in August, a source close to La Rue issued a comment to CSI Files’ Shane Saunders about her future on the show after departure rumors began to circulate online:
She is NOT missing any episodes this season due to her involvement with AMC. They have been able to work her return to AMC into days that she has off at CSI:Miami. CSI:Miami has been very supportive and cooperative!
CSI Files is currently looking into the matter and will update this post when more information is available. As of this current moment La Rue is scheduled to appear in sixteen of the nineteen episodes ordered for this season.
Update:
10-15-11, 11:44AM
A statement has now been issued in regards to doing limited episodes:
She needed time off to do crest toothpaste events. Csi was very supportive.

CSI: Miami’s Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) won the 2011 ALMA award for “Favorite TV Actor—Leading Role”. The ALMA Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions made by Latinos in the areas of television, film, and music. The awards ceremony will air Friday, September 16 at 8:00pm ET on NBC.
Rodriguez’s costar Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) was nominated for an ALMA award in the “Favorite TV Actress—Leading Role in a Drama” category, but she lost to fellow CBS star Cote de Pablo (NCIS). Season Nine of CSI: Miami left viewers with a startling conclusion: Horatio Caine shot and Natalia Boa Vista locked in a car that is sinking to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Though in season’s past the fate of Ryan Wolfe has also been up in the air, the former police officer is alive and well as the spin-off set in The Magic City prepares to enter its tenth season. Jonathan Togo, the Massachusetts-born actor who’s portrayed the role for the past seven years, spoke with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders this past weekend from his Los Angeles home. In the following interview Togo previews the upcoming season, what it’s like working on a soon-to-be decade old series, the power of Twitter, and those infamous sweater vests. Spoilers inside!

As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: Miami actors Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) and Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) teamed up with Natural Balance Pet Foods to film a public service announcement (PSA) for National Guide Dog Month in September. Miller and La Rue are hoping to raise money and awareness for guide dog organizations, but that’s not all.
“We want people to realize that this is more than just a fundraiser for a good cause,” Miller said. “This is really about empowering the visually impaired with the life-changing gift of a guide dog.” La Rue added, “Every seven minutes someone in America becomes blind or visually impaired. Guide dogs are heroes, providing safe mobility, loving companionship and restoring confidence to their handlers.”
You can watch La Rue and Miller’s PSA here.
