CSI Files previously reported that CSI: New York actor Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) would publish his fourth book on August 23. Fans can read the prologue from The Wealth Cure: Putting Money in Its Place by “liking” Harper on Facebook and becoming a fan.

Gary Sinise (CSI: New York’s Mac Taylor) posted another picture of himself suited up to ride in a U-2 plane at Beale Air Force Base. You can find the image embedded below—click to see it full-sized:

Sinise’s CSI: NY costar Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) also shared two recent pictures on Twitter: the first image shows Harper using his PlayBook device while riding the Hollywood Knights tour bus in Tuscany, and you can view it here. CSI: New York actor Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) and CSI: Miami’s Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) are part of the Hollywood Knights basketball team. The celebrity team is currently doing a USO Tour in Italy to offer a morale boost for American troops serving abroad. CSI: New York actor Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) celebrates his birthday today, May 17. The actor was born on this day in 1966.

Actor and author Hill Harper (CSI: New York’s Dr Sheldon Hawkes) has published three successful nonfiction books: Letters to a Young Brother and Letters to a Young Sister seek to offer advice and encouragement to young men and women, and The Conversation aims to help African-American men and women open up the lines of communication to develop deep and lasting relationships. On August 23, Harper’s fourth book will hit store shelves. The Wealth Cure: Putting Money in Its Place offers “a revolutionary new definition of wealth, motivating readers to not only build financial security but to also achieve wealth in every aspect of their lives.” The book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com and other online retailers.

Hill Harper (CSI: New York’s Dr Sheldon Hawkes) was honored with the Lexus Pursuit of Perfection Award in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this week. The award recognizes the achievements of successful African Americans who have had a positive influence on their community.

CSI: New York has delved into more personal storylines lately, and the last few episodes of season seven will feature romance, a couple contemplating the future and a visit from an old colleague. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)

CSI: New York actor Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) is also a successful author. So far, he has published three books, including two for young people (Letters to a Young Brother and Letters to a Young Sister) and one for adults (The Conversation). Harper posted on Twitter that he has finished his fourth book, although the topic remains a secret for now. The book will be released in September.

CSI: New York’s Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) will visit the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California on Saturday, February 26. The actor and author will speak to students and members of the community as part of Black History Month.
