Interactive Mystery allows the reader to follow along with Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and the rest of the CSI team as they investigate a crime scene and solve the riddle of how the latest victim was killed:

In the tradition of The Crimes of Dr Watson and Dracula’s Heir, this book features an original mystery novella along with eight removable clues for the reader to study. As our story opens, famed real estate developer Mel Bledsoe is found murdered in his ultra-tacky Las Vegas McMansion. Kaminsky contracted hepatitis while serving as an army medic in France in the 1950s. He and his wife, Enid, moved to St Louis, Missouri to await a liver transplant in March; however, the author suffered a stroke two days after their arrival, which made him ineligible for the transplant.

Kaminsky is survived by his wife, his daughters Natasha and Lucy, his sons Peter and Toby, and three grandchildren.

A high school student named Kiyomi Hudson gets an internship with the Las Vegas Crime Lab. She and four other interns try to solve the murder of a peer–and one of the interns may be the killer. • The October 12 episode of CSI: Miami will feature a proprietary automated lensometer. A lensometer is used to measure the prescription used in corrective eyewear.

• “Life as a real life CSI isn’t as glamorous as it looks on TV,” Vivienne Mee, an expert in computer forensics in Ireland, told The Argus. Mee finds her job “hugely enjoyable”, but she said it isn’t the same as it might appear on the CSI series. “I do watch those shows, and I have to laugh sometimes at how quickly they get results, it’s certainly not like that in reality,” she said.

• Eddie Cibrian (Jesse Cardoza) will join the cast of Miami starting in the season eight premiere. The actor recently separated from his wife, Brandi Glanville, citing irreconcilable differences. Cibrian issued a statement on Thursday saying that he wants to keep the matter private and that he will remain committed to raising his two sons, Mason and Jake. “While my wife and I are dissolving our marriage, we will work together to parent our two children,” he said. “I love my boys very much. I want only the best for them and am committed to being a devoted father.”
