Fishburne & Harper Receive NAACP Image Award Noms

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) and CSI: New York’s Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) were nominated in the “Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series” category for the 42nd NAACP Image Awards. The award ceremony will air live on March 4 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT on Fox.

Yelawolf, Paul Wall & Christina Milian Visit ‘CSI’

As CSI Files previously reported, rappers Yelawolf and Paul Wall were recently on the set of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to film scenes for an upcoming episode. Yelawolf and co-executive producer Dustin Lee Abraham posted several pictures on Twitter, including shots of the rappers getting “de-tattooed” for their scenes. The group photo features (from left to right) George Eads (Nick Stokes), Wall, guest star Christina Milian, Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston), Yelawolf and Abraham. Fishburne Adds His Voice To Cadillac Commercials

Laurence Fishburne (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s Dr Ray Langston) will lend his voice to General Motors’ new “Red-Blooded Luxury” TV ad campaign for Cadillac vehicles. Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac marketing, said Fishburne’s voice will help “bring new thinking to the automotive luxury space in 2011.”

Hall & Fishburne ‘Connect’ As Men & Actors

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actor Robert David Hall (Dr Al Robbins) counts a scene from the season eleven premiere, “Shock Waves”, as one of his favourites. His character visited Dr Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) in the hospital and brought the injured CSI a cane. “I (had) some incredible interaction with Laurence that gets to both of us,” Hall told StarNewsOnline. “It was so real, I couldn’t believe it.” He added, “As men and as actors, we connect.”

Interview: Anthony E. Zuiker

CSI fans got a treat in season eleven of the flagship show with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation creator Anthony E. Zuiker‘s return to the writers’ room full time. In addition to penning this week’s entry, “Sqweegel”, which features a character from his debut novel Level 26: Dark Origins, Zuiker is releasing his second novel with co-author Duane Swierczynski tomorrow, entitled Dark Prophecy. Like its predecessor, Dark Prophecy is a digi-novel, featuring both a full-length novel and cyberbridges: filmed footage that tells a story alongside the novel. Zuiker sat down with CSI Files to discuss the changes he made from the first to the second book, in both the story and the cyberbridges, as well as his return to CSI this season.

Several ‘CSI’ Actors Make The List Of Top Earners

TVGuide.com posted a list of TV’s top earning stars, and four actors from the CSI franchise made the cut. CSI: Miami‘s leading man David Caruso (Horatio Caine) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) tied as the highest earners from the CSI series—each of them is pulling in $375,000 per episode. (As CSI Files previously reported, Helgenberger took a pay cut when renegotiating her contract this summer.) Laurence Fishburne (CSI‘s Dr Ray Langston) gets $350,000 per episode, and Gary Sinise makes $275,000 to portray Mac Taylor in each episode of CSI: New York.
