Monday, April 25th, 2011Actors from all three CSI series filmed short videos for AXN Japan, which offer words of support for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country last month. Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) and Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) represented CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) joined his CSI: New York costars Eddie Cahill (Don Flack) and Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer), and CSI: Miami’s Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe), David Caruso (Horatio Caine) and Rex Linn (Frank Tripp) offered their condolences. Each video ends with the phrase “We are tomodachi”, which means “We are friends”, and you can find them embedded after the jump.
Barbour: It’s Still Up In The Air
Friday, April 15th, 2011CSI: Crime Scene Investigation writer Christopher Barbour told Shane Saunders that leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) will be present for at least a portion of season 12. However, he doesn’t know the exact details surrounding her return or how long she’ll appear. “I think that’s still up in the air to some degree,” the writer explained. He added, “[W]e obviously want to try to keep it open so she can return in the future, and we really don’t want her to leave at all.”
The writers are planning for Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) to be back next season, but that may depend on circumstances beyond their control. “I certainly hope he is coming back,” Barbour said. “We don’t know. In reality, the actors have contracts that are being renegotiated. I have no connection to that whatsoever.”
