Monday, February 20th, 2012Though only in their second season on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Co-Executive Producers Treena Hancock and Melissa R Byer both have a number of years under their belt as fans and devoted watchers of the series. Prior to writing their first episode, “Blood Moon” in Season Eleven, the duo collaborated on hit shows such as Stargate: Atlantis, Reaper, and Crossing Jordan (props from their Crossing Jordan episode “Road Kill” currently take residence in their Universal Studios office, showcased on a shelf containing numerous CSI research binders). Hancock and Byer talk with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders about their latest CSI episode, how the partnership formed, and tease the final episodes of Season Twelve. (Spoilers after the jump.)

Cast & Crew Share More ‘CSI’ & ‘CSI:NY’ Pics
Friday, February 10th, 2012Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) shared a cast photo with the rest of his CSI: New York costars, as well as a picture of himself signing scripts. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation directors Frank Waldeck and Jeffrey Hunt posted some images from the set of the crime drama, including a photo of Consulting Producer Dustin Lee Abraham. CBS shared a picture of Ted Danson (DB Russell) on the cover of Emmy magazine. Jon Wellner (Henry Andrews) posted an image of himself and several other CSI stars alongside the Lorax (the Dr Seuss character from the upcoming 3D animated film). CSI guest star Brandon Jones (Charlie Russell) also posed with the Lorax, and he shared a second photo from the set as well. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer posted a picture of a series of cars that will be featured during a flashback to the 1950s. Monday, February 6th, 2012Prior to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s premiere in 2000, it’s safe to say viewers had no clue what the inside of a human body looked like–at least what it looks like after being struck by a bullet. Twelve years later, CSI has introduced viewers to a smorgasbord of fascinating and intricate technical shots, thanks in large part to Co-Producer Brad Tanenbaum. Since CSI‘s inception, Tanenbaum has helped mold the look of various visual effects seen on the show and, for the past several seasons, take on more of a commanding role serving as one of the show’s in-house directors. With his thirteenth credit coming up this Wednesday, Tanenbaum chats with CSI Files’ Shane Saunders about challenging effects, how technology on the show has changed, and tease his latest episode.
