‘Miami’ Lets Cibrian Go

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Following the announcement that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is dropping Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) from the series, it has now been revealed that CSI: Miami is making a similar decision. CBS has chosen not to pick up Eddie Cibrian‘s contract, meaning that Jesse Cardoza will not be returning to the Sunshine State in season nine.

Cibrian was one of several actors added to the Miami cast at the start of season eight in the wake of Adam Rodriguez‘s (Eric Delko) departure from the show. Rodriguez appeared periodically throughout the season, and as CSI Files previously reported, the actor will be reinstated as a full time cast member in the fall. However, it has not been revealed whether Rodriguez’s return influenced the decision not to renew Cibrian’s contract.
