Sinise Plans Concert In Honor Of Wounded Soldier

CSI: New York’s leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) will speak to the City Council in Temecula, California on Tuesday, January 10. The actor hopes to hold a benefit concert on the steps of City Hall in March to raise funds in honor of 27-year-old Marine Lance Cpl Juan Dominguez. Dominguez lost both legs and his right arm in Afghanistan in October 2010. “I firmly believe our concerts will go a long way towards helping build a home for Juan that will allow him to lead a more independent and fulfilling life with his 9-year-old daughter Victoria,” Sinise said in a statement.

‘Miami’ Stars Deliver Puppy To Boy Fighting Cancer

As CSI Files previously reported, Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) is the spokesperson for the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. The actress recently posted about her CSI: Miami costars Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe), Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) and Adam Rodriguez (Eric Delko) delivering a puppy to a young boy with leukemia. The dog was a Christmas present for the boy, whose family couldn’t afford any gifts after paying his medical bills. Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) linked to an eBay auction featuring an autographed copy of the season four cast photo for CSI: New York. The entire cast signed the photo, and the auction ends in a few hours: click here to check it out. All proceeds will go to the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Signed ‘CSI:NY’ Lab Coat Up For Auction

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation is currently holding eBay auctions featuring items and experiences for fans of various television programmes. One of the items up for bid is a lab coat signed by the cast of CSI: New York, including Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor), Sela Ward (Jo Danville), Anna Belknap (Lindsay Messer), Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer), Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes), Eddie Cahill (Don Flack), AJ Buckley (Adam Ross) and Robert Joy (Dr Sid Hammerback). The auction runs through November 18, and all proceeds will go to the Emmys Foundation.

Carrot Top & Holly Madison Help ‘CSI: The Experience’ Celebrate 2 Years

“CSI: The Experience” recently celebrated its two year anniversary at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation guest stars Carrot Top (“Man Up” and “73 Seconds”) and Holly Madison (“Pool Shark”) visited the exhibit, and you can find pictures here and here. In honor of the anniversary, “CSI: The Experience” is donating $1 of each ticket sold through November 10 to Madison’s charity of choice, The Lili Claire Foundation, and Carrot Top’s charity of choice, Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Wellner Joins VisionWalk To Fight Blindness

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation actor Jon Wellner (Henry Andrews) is participating in the Los Angeles VisionWalk 2011. VisionWalk is “the national signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Since its inception in the Spring of 2006, the program has raised over $17 million to fund sight-saving research.” Wellner is affected with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic condition that causes blindness over time. “[W]ithout research,” he said, “there’s little chance that sight can be restored to millions of people living in the dark.”

‘Prevention’ Magazine Honors Helgenberger

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s Marg Helgenberger was recognized at “Prevention Honors Hollywood Heroes” last week for her work on behalf of the Race to Erase MS. The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis was formed in 1993, and since then the foundation has raised over $30 million through the annual star-studded Race to Erase event. Helgenberger’s father died due to complications from multiple sclerosis in 1986, so the Race to Erase MS is close to her heart. Sinise Launches Documentary ‘For The Common Good’

Starting July 4 and running through July 30, fans of CSI: New York’s leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) will be able to stream Lt Dan Band: For the Common Good on the movie’s official website. The documentary follows Sinise and his Lt Dan Band around the world as the group gives concerts to honor the men and women in the United States military, first responders, their families and the citizens that support them.

Sinise posted on Twitter that the documentary would be available to fans around the world at purchase price of $4.00 (USD), and 25% of the proceeds will go to the Gary Sinise Foundation. As CSI Files previously reported, Sinise’s foundation supports programmes that entertain, educate and inspire America’s heroes.

Buckley Enters Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race

CSI: New York actor AJ Buckley (Adam Ross) participated in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on Saturday, April 16 in Long Beach, California. Buckley finished 15th out of 17 racers, and he earned $5,000 for his charity of choice. The race will be televised on the Speed Channel on Sunday, May 1, at 3:00pm ET.

CSI: Miami actress Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) has been named National Spokesperson for the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. The nonprofit organization seeks to help cancer patients and their families. “After seeing the effects of cancer within my own family, I felt compelled to step into a role that highlights the unique needs of cancer patients across the country,” La Rue said in a statement. “As National Spokesperson for Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, I have an opportunity to be a voice of inspiration and strength for the vulnerable—and provide help during one of the most difficult times of their lives. There is hope, and that is the message I want to share with them.”
