‘CSI:NY’ Stays Even In The Demo With Lower Viewers

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Kill Screen”, earned the top spot on Friday, April 6. The crime drama pulled in 8.96 million viewers, which is down from the previous episode, but this was more than enough to put New York ahead of Primetime What Would You Do? (4.87 million), Grimm (4.47 million), Fringe (3.08 million) and a repeat of Supernatural (830,000). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI: NY was even with last week, earning a 1.6 rating/5 share. This tied with Primetime, and Grimm (1.3/4), Fringe (1.0/3) and Supernatural (0.3/1) rounded out the hour.

‘CSI:NY’ Returns From Hiatus With Lower Ratings

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Flash Pop”, was the first new installment since February 10. The crime drama pulled in 9.44 million viewers on Friday, March 30, which is down nearly a million from the previous episode. However, this was enough to put CSI: NY ahead of Primetime What Would You Do? (5.02 million), Grimm (4.16 million), Fringe (3.11 million) and Supernatural (1.72 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York was down a tenth from the last episode with a 1.6 rating/5 share for the hour. Primetime was second with 1.5/5, followed by Grimm and Fringe with 1.2/4, and Supernatural (0.7/2) rounded out the hour.

Harper Participates In ‘Race & Justice’ Broadcast

Actor and author Hill Harper (CSI: New York’s Dr Sheldon Hawkes) will be one of the participants in a live radio broadcast tonight at 7:00pm ET titled “Race and Justice: A National Conversation”. The town hall discussion, hosted by ABC News Radio, is in response to the recent death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. Harper will join Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, hip-hop artist Q-Tip, ESPN’s Stephen A Smith, founder of the Christian Cultural Center Pastor A R Bernard and gospel duo Mary Mary. The broadcast will air live on ABC News Radio affiliates, and it will also be streamed live on ABCNews.com and GoodMorningAmerica.com.
