Criminal Minds has a new episode on the schedule tonight. Here is a sneak peek from “Mirror Image”, featuring JJ Jareau (AJ Cook), Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) and David Rossi (Joe Mantegna). (You can also find it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

TV Line shared a clip from the episode, which features Dr Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), Prentiss and Rossi. You can watch it here.

TV Guide posted this scene, featuring Reid, Garcia, Tara, Luke, Peter Lewis/Mr Scratch (Bodhi Elfman) and guest star Terrence Terrell (Gabriel Lewis):

You can watch another sneak peek on Variety Latino. It features Tara and guest star Alimi Ballard (Desmond Holt).

There’s also a clip on ET Online, which features Tara and her father Albert Lewis (guest star Stan Shaw). You can watch it here.

Tyler spoke to TV Guide about the episode, which hits home for her character:

This is the first case on the show that’s hit [Tara] personally. And you see how it affects her and how she goes about not just solving the case but learning more about her and her relationships with her brother and her father. We spent a lot of time talking about who Tara is, what her experiences have been and what brought her to the FBI and generally with profiling, and a lot of that comes together here

Tyler also did an interview with Entertainment Tonight about “Mirror Image”, including this quote about exploring her character’s background:

It was the extension of a conversation with [executive producers] Erica Messer and Breen Frazier when they first brought me on the show. We did talk a lot about who she was and where she might have come from, with the hope and intention that if I was ever there longer, we’d get to explore it. So it was great to dive into that stuff.

Tyler spoke to Variety Latino as well, including this quote about the episode’s director, co-star Joe Mantenga:

Joe’s great! I think this is the 3rd or 4th episode that he’s directed that I’ve been in and he’s such a great director. I’ve worked with some great directors who haven’t been actors but there’s something special about working with an actor who is also a director. They have a great shorthand with you and they’re able to communicate what they want in actor’s language. Joe’s just a brilliant guy and such a joy to be around all day.

Short Story: When I received the call that I'd gotten the role, I was VERY excited. That was until I read the script….then I was PETRIFIED. REAL TALK!!! The character on the page was so complex and unlike anything I'd done on TV before. I started making up excuses as to how I could back out it…?? "Don't just strive to be Good, strive to be FEARLESS." That quote stuck out in my head. Sooooo…I locked myself in a room, called my old theater buddy, and we broke that script down PIECE BY PIECE!!! ( Thanks G-Money. #NYCStandUP ) The willingness to look like a fool was well worth it. I had one of thee most SOUL ENRICHING experiences on the set of @CrimmindsCBS Directed by @real_joemantegna Written by #BreenFrazier Featuring the amazing @aishatyler sincerely hope you all will enjoy this tiny bit of magic I feel lucky to join in on. #OneLIGHT✨ #OneLOVE? • #CriminalMINDS #CBS #AishaTyler #BringThatDRAMA #TONIGHT
