‘Shades Of Grey’ Official Details, Plus What’s On This Week

CSI: Cyber, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans will air new episodes this week. (Criminal Minds has a repeat on the schedule.)

NCIS: Los Angeles kicks off the week with “Cancel Christmas” tonight at 9:59pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode synopsis (more information here):

When a suspected North Korean spy is poisoned and hit by a truck carrying Christmas trees, the team must search for who is responsible for smuggling spies into the country. Also, Deeks and Kensi try to find a way to include their mothers in their Christmas plans, and Hetty notices that Granger isn’t feeling the holiday cheer.

NCIS will air “Spinning Wheel” on Tuesday at 8:00pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode description (more information here):

After Ducky is attacked by a man claiming to have information about his half-brother who died decades ago, the NCIS team searches for the perpetrator, as Ducky recalls the final emotional days he had with his sibling. Also, with the holidays approaching, Bishop and Jake (Jamie Bamber) discuss the future of their relationship.

NCIS: NOLA will follow at 9:00pm ET/PT on Tuesday. Here’s the description for “Blue Christmas” (more information here):

When a string of Christmas burglaries turns deadly, the evidence leads the NCIS team to Wade’s adopted son, Danny (Christopher Meyer). Also, Lasalle and Brody tease Sonja about the high stakes of drawing Pride in the team’s Secret Santa exchange.

Criminal Minds isn’t on the schedule Wednesday. The show aired its winter finale last week, and this week CBS will air the Survivor finale from 8:00-10:00pm ET/PT, followed by the Survivor Reunion Special at 10:00pm ET/PT.


On Saturday, CBS will air repeats of NCIS and Criminal Minds from 8:00-10:00pm ET/PT. Here are the episode descriptions:

“Cadence” – DiNozzo returns to the military academy he attended as a teenager after a murdered Marine and alumni of the school is found clutching the photo of a current student. Also, Bishop and her husband invite Gibbs and the team out for a special dinner.

“Hashtag” – When victims with large social media followings are found dead in Maryland, the BAU searches for an UnSub taking on the persona of an Internet urban legend. Meanwhile, Morgan and Savannah struggle to find quality time for each other with their busy careers.


The tenth episode of CSI: Cyber’s second season is scheduled to air on Sunday at 10:30pm ET (9:30pm CT)/10:00pm PT, to accommodate potential football delays in the Eastern and Central timezones. First, check out the LQ promo for “Shades of Grey” below:

After an innocent bystander is killed when dozens of ATMs suddenly spew money into the street, the Cyber team investigates the bank heist that is orchestrated by a real-life cyber Robin Hood.

Former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Executive Producer and director Louis Milito helmed the episode, which marks his first credit for Cyber. “Shades of Grey” was written by Executive Story Editors Brandon Guercio and Kate Sargeant Curtis. Guercio has two previous writing credits, most recently for “hack E.R.” from earlier this season; Curtis wrote three previous episodes, including this season’s “Heart Me”.

Alexie Gilmore is back as Devon Atwood, Elijah Mundo’s (James Van Der Beek) ex-wife, who was last seen in season one’s “Ghost in the Machine”. Molly Burnett previously appeared in the season two premiere, “Why-Fi”. Yani Gellman was in the CSI episode “Ghosts of the Past” during the show’s thirteenth season, Carlson Young appeared in season eleven’s “418/427”, Anderson Davis guest-starred in “CSI Unplugged” during season twelve, Derek Mio was in season fourteen’s “Consumed”, and Stephanie Michels appeared in the season fourteen episode “The Fallen”. The other actors are new to the franchise.
