"Saviors" and "Confluence" sneak peeks

NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans have new episodes on the schedule tonight. You can find sneak peeks below, along with quotes, tweets and photos!

Here’s the first clip from the NCIS episode “Saviors”, featuring Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). (You can also find it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

And here’s scene number two, which features Gibbs, Dr Cyril Taft (Jon Cryer), Tony, Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson), McGee and Bishop. (It’s also available on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)

“Saviors” marks the return of Scottie Thompson as Jeanne Benoit, who was last seen in season five’s “Internal Affairs”. Here’s a question from TV Line, which was posted last month:

Question: I saw the BTS photos of NCIS’ Michael Weatherly and Scottie Thompson! Does this mean the Jeanne is back? —Alisha

Ausiello: Yes, as TVLine has since reported, Thompson will be reprising her role of Tony’s ex in November, for at least one episode. “The Jeanne Benoit storyline is rooted deep in NCIS history,” showrunner Gary Glasberg acknowledges. “Bringing Scottie Thompson back in Season 13 creates all kinds of opportunities for our characters. We are so excited to welcome her back into our family and promise the fans some genuine surprises.”

Regarding Jeanne, Glasberg told TV Line, “There aren’t many, but she is one ‘that got away,’ so that takes us into all kinds of Tony DiNozzo folklore that we haven’t touched on in ages.” He added that Cryer’s character, Dr Taft, returns “when Gibbs hits a surprising hurdle in his recovery.”

Thompson did an interview with TV Line, and here’s a quote:

TVLINE | I just watched this week’s episode and there are scenes that are so heavy with unexpressed emotion. I mean, when Jeanne and Tony lock eyes for the first time, I didn’t know whether to cower in a corner or make popcorn and pull up a chair.

[Laughs] Yeah, it was certainly intense when we were filming it — like, how do you feel when there is so much going on? Tony Wharmby, who directed my last episode [Season 5’s “Internal Affairs”], with the elevator [break-up], also directed this one, so I was like, “This is pretty full circle.” But there was so much emotion just coming back to this show after all these years and getting to see everybody. I know Emily Wickersham (who plays Bishop) from when we were in an acting class together years ago in New York City, so it was crazy to have her in that first scene as well.

Thompson also spoke to Fox 411. “There is still a spark,” she said about her character’s relationship with Tony. “It was like she said goodbye because it was too hard to forgive that at the time. But that doesn’t mean that there wasn’t a lot of love still there from Jeanne’s point of view, and I’m assuming from Tony’s, as well.”

Finally, check out these tweets and photos, including some shared during filming, First Look photos and a look back at Tony and Jeanne’s relationship:

Check out this sneak peek from the NCIS: NOLA episode “Confluence”, featuring Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant), Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) and Christopher LaSalle (Lucas Black). (You can also watch it on CBS.com and CBS Press Express.)

Extra’s Renee Bargh visited the set of “Confluence”, and she will appear in the episode. You can watch a behind-the-scenes video here, featuring Bakula, McLellan and Black.
