‘Dead Woods’ Official Details, Plus What’s On This Week

Here is the cast list and official details for this week’s episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, plus which repeats of NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans are on the schedule. (Criminal Minds won’t air this week.)

NCIS: Los Angeles will re-air season five’s holiday episode, “Merry Evasion”, tonight at 9:59pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode synopsis (more information here):

The NCIS: Los Angeles team searches for a motive when a senator’s daughter is attacked. Meanwhile, Deeks and Nell partner up to help Sam and Callen bring the daughter to safety and Kensi receives the perfect holiday gift from one of her co-workers.


NCIS kicks off a three-hour franchise marathon on Tuesday with a repeat of last season’s holiday episode, “Homesick”, at 8:00pm ET/PT. Here’s the episode description (more information here):

After a mysterious illness strikes children from military families, Gibbs and the team investigate the cause. Meanwhile, Abby and Jimmy partner with the Naval Medical Research Center to determine the strain of illness, all in hopes of delivering a cure before the holidays. Also, Director Vance struggles with forgiveness as his estranged father-in-law makes a surprise visit to his home.

NCIS: LA will follow from 9:00-10:01pm ET/PT with “Big Brother” from season five. Here’s the episode description (more information here):

Callen goes undercover at a prestigious high school after a 15-year-old hacker compromises terrorist missions.

NCIS: New Orleans will end the three-hour marathon with a repeat of “The Recruits” from 10:01-11:00pm ET/PT. Here’s the synopsis (more information here):

After a Navy SEAL is found murdered in a sorority house, the NCIS team must determine if the motive pertained to one of his classified missions or collegiate foul play. Meanwhile, Pride’s daughter, Laurel, pays the NCIS office a visit.


Criminal Minds isn’t on the schedule this Wednesday. Instead, CBS will air a repeat of Madam Secretary in the 9:00pm ET/PT timeslot.


CSI will air “Dead Woods” on Sunday. The episode is scheduled to air at 10:30pm ET (9:30pm CT)/10:00pm PT due to an NFL doubleheader. First, check out the episode promo below:

The CSI team reopens a 10-year-old murder/suicide case when the sole survivor claims her accused father was innocent.

Producer Phil Conserva directed the episode, which marks his fifth credit for CSI; he previously helmed “The Twin Paradox” last month. Writing duo and Co-Executive Producers Treena Hancock and Melissa R Byer penned “Dead Woods”; their 12 previous credits include “Girls Gone Wilder” from earlier this eason.

Larry Sullivan is back as Officer Akers. Ken Weiler previously appeared in the season five episode “Snakes”. Clare Carey was in the CSI: Miami episode “Miami, We Have a Problem” during season eight, and Ben Browder was in season one’s “Tinder Box”. The other actors are new to the franchise.
