Zuiker Launches ‘Whodunnit?’ TV & Book Series

1 min read

CSI creator Anthony Zuiker has a new reality series airing on ABC starting Sunday, June 23 at 9:00pm ET/PT. Whodunnit? is a nine episode murder mystery competition featuring 13 contestants who put their investigative skills to the test to solve puzzling murders—and to discover which one of the players is actually the killer. One week before the premiere, Hyperion will publish the first in a series of Whodunnit? mystery books by Zuiker. Whodunnit?: Murder in Mystery Manor will be digitally released on June 18; the title introduces Butler Giles, who is central to the reality series, and provides information about the TV show’s backstory. A second original Whodunnit? mystery will be published in August to coincide with the competition’s season finale.

“Ever since I was a kid, I had a passion for mysteries and crime solving, so I jumped at the opportunity with Whodunnit? to create a cross-platform storytelling experience where the book tees up the show and the show then tees up the book,” Zuiker said in a press release. “The best part for fans is that, once you’ve finished the first season of the show, you’ll be able to transition back into not just the second book but a whole series.”
