Procter Returns To TV With ‘White Collar’ Role

1 min read

Former CSI: Miami actress Emily Procter (Calleigh Duquesne) will guest star in the final two episodes of White Collar’s fourth season, starting with tonight’s penultimate episode of the USA Network series. Miami’s cancellation allowed Procter to spend more time with her young daughter, Pippa, and the smaller commitment of her White Collar role fits well with her new life. “It has been also perfect timing for me because I was able to take pretty much a full year off to be with my daughter,” the actress told TV Guide. “I thought I need to get more into TV mode, but I’m not fully there yet, and everyone at White Collar was so nice about it.”

Procter revealed that she won’t be looking for another role like Miami any time soon. “If CSI: Miami were starting, I don’t think I could do the job because the hours would be too long, and the subject matter would be too gruesome,” she explained. “I could never explain to [Pippa] what I was doing if I were preparing at home. So now I am definitely looking for something that requires a bit less time hours-wise and … not such a sad subject matter.”
