CSI New York’s Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) was one of the celebrities on hand for the 2012 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on Saturday, April 14. Harper lost the race by less than one second, with fellow celebrity Adam Carolla taking home the win. “This race was extremely competitive,” said Toyota Motor Sales, USA national manager Les Unger. “Adam really pulled it out, but Hill Harper’s unexpected challenge in the final laps had the fans holding their breath. It’s not unusual for a celebrity to come in first overall, but for the celebrity drivers to compete neck-and-neck is exciting. These drivers were incredibly competitive, and the crowd was just thrilled. All their enthusiasm is, ultimately, for a great cause, and the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race is proud to be able to make it happen.”

CBS has given the green light to a new summer reality series, Dogs in the City. Executive Produced by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation showrunner Carol Mendelsohn, Dogs centers around Justin Silver, a dog trainer and behaviorist who owns a pet care company in New York City. “Dogs are at the center of the story here, but this is a show that reveals as much about human nature as man’s best friend,” Mendelsohn said. The series will debut on May 30.
