The franchise offers one new episode this week, featuring a case from Nick’s past with ties to the late Detective Vega. The official plot details and cast list can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation re-opens an old case in “Altered Stakes” on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT:

When Stokes learns that a man he helped put in prison is going to have his conviction overturned, the CSI team needs to prove the killer is guilty again or he will be released.

This is the first time David Semel has directed an episode of CSI. Consulting Producer Elizabeth Devine wrote the teleplay for “Altered Stakes”, based on a story by writing duo and Co-Executive Producers Melissa R Byer and Treena Hancock. Devine has written 12 previous episodes of the hit crime drama, most recently “Genetic Disorder” earlier this season. Byer and Hancock have five writing credits for the series, including “Stealing Home”.

The following guest stars will appear in the episode:

  • Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews
  • Geoffrey Rivas as Detective Sam Vega
  • Larry Poindexter as D.A. Claude Melvoy
  • Cecil Burroughs as First Baseman
  • Joe Bays as Umpire
  • Enrique Murciano as Detective Carlos Moreno
  • David Atkinson as Carl Bowden
  • Brett Rice as Ben Gerard
  • Justin Klinger as Mechanic
  • Susan May Pratt as April Reynolds
  • Myk Watford as David Jorgensen
  • Kali Rocha as Ms. Fowler

Jon Wellner is reprising an established recurring role in the lab. Geoffrey Rivas last appeared as Detective Sam Vega in “Crime After Crime” earlier this season. Enrique Murciano is back as Detective Carlos Moreno, who debuted in season ten’s “Coup de Grace”. Larry Poindexter previously guest-starred as DA Claude Melvoy in last season’s “Targets of Obsession”. Susan May Pratt played a different character in “Eleven Angry Jurors” during season four. Myk Watford guest-starred in the CSI: Miami episode “Rush” during the show’s fifth season.

CSI: New York will not air on Friday. Instead, CBS will air ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends – In Concert from 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT.

CBS will debut the new series NYC 22 on Sunday at 10:00pm ET/PT, taking over the CSI: Miami timeslot.

“Altered Stakes” airs April 11 on CBS.
