The whole Cath/Vartan/F.B.I. Guy was clearly filler stuff and served no purpose whatsoever. And I do need a CSI who can ACTUALLY juggle family and work well, like D.B. Russell. Why make any romantic storyline with him and Miss New Girl or anyone for that matter? Enough drama with broken families, especially one with a teenage son.
