Leaving ‘CSI’ Feels ‘Right’ For Helgenberger

1 min read

The final episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation featuring Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) will air next month, marking the end of an era for the actress. She has been with the series since it began in 2000, and it wasn’t an easy decision to say goodbye. “There are a lot of mixed feelings definitely and in the last few months I have sometimes found myself questioning if it is the right thing to do but ultimately it feels right,” Helgenberger told the The Daily Record. (Spoilers after the jump.)

“I won’t reveal exactly how I leave the show but I am not being killed off and there could be the possibility for me to return for an episode or two,” the actress added. Regarding the decision to keep Catherine alive, Helgenberger explained, “I didn’t want to end up as a corpse on the show. And the writers thought it would be a little harsh for the fans.”
