If u were paying any attention in the begining ryan was initally gonna give sam the bracelet ONLY to CONGRADUALTE her on becoming detective, then eric & sam had a fight out in the field. So later, ryan walks in and tells eric he heard wat happened and eric tells ryan he wanted to clear the air w/her. So ryan gives eric the bracelet to give to sam to make things right.
