Bieber Receives ‘Teen Choice’ Nomination For His ‘CSI’ Role

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber appeared in two episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation during the show’s eleventh season, “Shock Waves” and “Targets of Obsession”. Bieber has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the “Choice TV Villain” category for his role as Jason McCann. The 2011 Teen Choice Awards will air live on Fox on Sunday, August 7 at 8:00pm ET/7:00pm CT.

CBS Announces Fall Premiere Dates

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will be the first member of the franchise to return this fall, airing the season twelve premiere in its new timeslot on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00pm ET/PT. The eighth season premiere of CSI: New York will follow on Friday, September 23 at 9:00pm ET/PT. On Sunday, September 25, CSI: Miami’s tenth season will get underway at 10:00pm ET/PT.

‘Prevention’ Magazine Honors Helgenberger

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s Marg Helgenberger was recognized at “Prevention Honors Hollywood Heroes” last week for her work on behalf of the Race to Erase MS. The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis was formed in 1993, and since then the foundation has raised over $30 million through the annual star-studded Race to Erase event. Helgenberger’s father died due to complications from multiple sclerosis in 1986, so the Race to Erase MS is close to her heart. Giovinazzo & His Wife Are Expecting!

CSI: New York actor Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer) got married last year, and now he and wife Vanessa Marcil-Giovinazzo are expecting a child. The actress revealed that she is pregnant on Twitter. This marks baby number two for Marcil-Giovinazzo, who has a 9-year-old son named Kassius with her ex, Brian Austin Green.

Sinise Launches Documentary ‘For The Common Good’

Starting July 4 and running through July 30, fans of CSI: New York’s leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) will be able to stream Lt Dan Band: For the Common Good on the movie’s official website. The documentary follows Sinise and his Lt Dan Band around the world as the group gives concerts to honor the men and women in the United States military, first responders, their families and the citizens that support them.

Sinise posted on Twitter that the documentary would be available to fans around the world at purchase price of $4.00 (USD), and 25% of the proceeds will go to the Gary Sinise Foundation. As CSI Files previously reported, Sinise’s foundation supports programmes that entertain, educate and inspire America’s heroes.

Helgenberger Will Be Added To The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This puts the actress in the company of former costar William Petersen (Gil Grissom), who was honored several years ago. The 2012 Walk of Fame recipients were chosen from hundreds of nominees in the areas of film, television, music and radio. There has been no date announced for Helgenberger’s ceremony.

‘CSI’ Searches For Fishburne’s Replacement

As CSI Files previously reported, Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) decided not to renew his contract with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation for the show’s upcoming twelfth season. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told Zap2It that the hunt is on for an actor who can take Fishburne’s place on the crime drama. “We’re kicking around a whole bunch of ideas,” he explained. “Hopefully, we’ll come up with somebody who will keep the show on for quite a bit longer.”

All three CSI series were renewed for the 2011-2012 season, and Bruckheimer is happy that the shows will remain on the schedule. “We’re very fortunate that they still have wide audiences,” he said, “and that CBS is still excited about putting them on the air.”

CBS Develops New ‘CSI’ Games

CBS Consumer Products is working with GDC-GameDevCo Ltd and IGT to develop all-new board games, playing cards and slot machines based on the CSI franchise. GDC-GameDevCo will create the board games and playing cards for distribution in the United States and Canada, and the slot machines created by IGT will be available worldwide. “The CSI brand introduces so many interesting layers to incorporate into a licensing program,” Liz Kalodner, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CBS Consumer Products, said in a press release. “Whether it’s the mystery, crime or science element, each can be adapted into a variety of compelling products.”

La Rue & Miller Film PSA For National Guide Dog Month
