ABC Picks Up Series Featuring Elliott & Lotan

CSI Files previously reported that NBC picked up The Playboy Club for the fall season, which stars former CSI: Miami actor Eddie Cibrian (Jesse Cardoza) and recurring actor Wes Ramsey (Dave Benton). In addition to Cibrian and Ramsey, two new ABC dramas will feature actors familiar to fans of the CSI franchise. (Videos embedded after the jump!)

‘CSI’, ‘Miami’ & ‘CSI:NY’ Complete Season Available On iTunes

Fans of all three CSI series can get caught up on the latest season by purchasing the episodes from iTunes. All 22 episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s eleventh season, CSI: Miami’s ninth season and CSI: New York’s seventh season are available. Each high definition (HD) episode is $2.99, and each standard definition episode is $1.99. If you buy the whole season, you can save up to $10 on the HD version and up to $5 on the standard version.

CBS Reveals Fall Schedule, Moves ‘CSI’ To Wednesday

CBS has announced their schedule for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will move to Wednesday nights at 10:00pm ET/PT following Survivor: South Pacific and Criminal Minds. CSI: New York and CSI: Miami will remain in their current Friday and Sunday timeslots. (More details after the jump!)

CBS Saves ‘CSI:NY’!

CSI Files previously reported that CSI: New York was on the bubble, meaning the show was in danger of being cancelled. According to Deadline.com, CBS has decided to give the crime drama a reprieve. New York will be back for an eighth season, but there is no word yet on how many episodes the network will order.

Buckley: It Was Different This Season

For CSI: New York’s AJ Buckley (Adam Ross), the seventh season brought something new to the hit series. “It was fun, it was different this season,” the actor told Reel Movie News. “I think every year there’s new things that happen with the characters and new layers that are peeled back and new things you find out. That’s the joy of being on something this long is that the writers get to take more chances because the audience is ready to go there with them. There’s such a great group of writers on the show.”

Giovinazzo’s New Film ‘Duke’ Gets A Facebook Page

CSI Files previously reported that CSI: New York actor Carmine Giovinazzo (Danny Messer) was working on a new film. Duke now has its own Facebook page, which features images from the movie. In addition to Giovinazzo, New York fans may recognize several other actors who have appeared on the crime drama. Vanessa Ferlito played former CSI Aiden Burn during the first two seasons of CSI: NY, Carmen Argenziano butted heads with the CSIs as Inspector Stanton Gerrard during seasons three and four, and Lesley-Ann Brandt appeared as Camille Jordanson in two episodes during season seven. Fredro Starr (“Cuckoo’s Nest”), Hank Harris (“Down the Rabbit Hole”) and Michael Irby (“Exit Strategy”) also have guest-starring credits on New York.

McGill Teases Possible Return Of ‘Sqweegel’ & Nate Haskell

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fans might see some familiar villains during the show’s upcoming twelfth season. According to executive producer Don McGill, the titular forensic-proof serial killer from “Sqweegel” has a “very strong chance” of returning next season. He added that viewers may not have seen the last of “Dick & Jane” serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin). “Given that he’s proven to be an arch villain who’s come to us in many guises using many devices, I don’t think you can ever say you’ve seen the end of Nate Haskell,” McGill said.

NBC Picks Up Cibrian’s New Series ‘The Playboy Club’

CSI Files previously reported that former CSI: Miami actor Eddie Cibrian (Jesse Cardoza) and current recurring actor Wes Ramsey (Dave Benton) were cast in the NBC drama pilot Playboy. Now renamed The Playboy Club, NBC has picked up the series for the fall, and you can watch several clips featuring Cibrian here.

‘CSI:NY’ Finale Wins The Hour With Higher Ratings

The season finale of CSI: New York, “Exit Strategy”, took the top spot on Friday, May 13. The episode pulled in 10.22 million viewers, which is up almost a million viewers from the last episode and marks the highest total since April 2. These numbers were more than enough to put CSI: NY ahead of Dateline (5.26 million), Primetime: What Would You Do? (3.71 million), a repeat of Kitchen Nightmares (3.23 million) and the series finale of Smallville (3.14 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, New York won the hour with a 1.6 rating/5 share. Smallville and Kitchen Nightmares tied for second with 1.4/5, and Primetime and Dateline came last with 1.2/4.
