CSI Files previously reported that CSI: Miami actress Eva La Rue (Natalia Boa Vista) would attend the annual Tree Lighting Extravaganza in Sherman Oaks, California on Wednesday, December 1. The latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “418/427″, was the final new episode to air before the new year. CSI pulled in 13.14 million viewers for the hour, which put it just behind the Barbara Walters special Oprah, the Next Chapter (13.15 million). A one-hour holiday-themed edition of The Office was third at 9:00pm with 7.60 million viewers, Fringe took fourth place with 5.27 million, and Nikita rounded out the hour with 2.31 million viewers. In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Office came out on top with a 3.8 rating/10 share for the hour, followed by CSI (3.1/8), the Oprah special (3.0/8), Fringe (2.0/5) and Nikita (0.8/2).

CSI Files previously reported that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) would visit the ladies of CBS’s The Talk on Thursday, December 9. CSI creator Anthony Zuiker posted on Twitter that Sqweegel, the twisted serial killer from his Level 26 digi-novel series, might return to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in time for the season eleven finale. The character previously made his network television debut in “Sqweegel” earlier this year, but he escaped at the end of the episode.
