Harper Aims To Make A ‘Positive Impact’

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

CSI: New York actor Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) discovered his love for acting while earning his education. “When I went to college, I found the theatre,” he told Cambio Connect. “I had never done theatre before.” One reason for giving acting a try was to be close to the “cutest girls in school”, Harper admitted, but he added that taking the classes “changed my life.”

Harper attended Harvard Law School with President Barack Obama. “The funny thing about Harvard Law School is that everybody thinks they’re going to be President of the United States,” the actor said. “I mean literally, people are very competitive, and they’re very serious.” Harper, on the other hand, had less specific ambitions. “I knew that I wanted to do work that would make a difference,” he explained, whether that meant politics, philanthropy or getting involved with the arts. His goal, he added, is to “make a difference and have a positive impact on the world and the community.”
