Helgenberger Explores Her ‘Confidence & Strength’
Friday, July 30th, 2010CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s Marg Helgenberger is happy that her character, Catherine Willows, is in charge of the Las Vegas Crime Lab. “I’ve enjoyed the confidence and the strength that Catherine has had throughout all these years,” Helgenberger said. “But, now that she’s a leader, it’s really given me the opportunity to explore those qualities in myself as well as in the character.” The actress added that she likes playing characters that are “down to earth” rather than glamorous.

‘Strong Development’ Led To ‘CSI’ Schedule Changes
Thursday, July 29th, 2010At the Television Critics Association press tour, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler explained the logic behind moving CSI: Miami and CSI: New York to new timeslots this fall. “Going into this season, we had very strong development,” Tassler said. “We wanted to get a number of those new dramas on the air. Both Miami and New York are still strong players and they will improve the time periods they’re going into.”
CBS will debut the Hawaii Five-0 reboot helmed by former CSI: NY executive producer Peter Lenkov in Miami‘s old timeslot on Monday, September 20 at 10:00pm ET/PT. The new legal drama The Defenders, which counts CSI: Crime Scene Investigation showrunner Carol Mendelsohn as one of its executive producers, will premiere on Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00pm ET/PT in the time period formerly occupied by CSI: NY.
