Fishburne: He’s A Really Marvelous Character
Thursday, June 17th, 2010Hall Realizes A Lifelong Dream
Thursday, June 17th, 2010CSI Files previously reported that Robert David Hall (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s Dr Al Robbins) released his debut CD Things They Don’t Teach You In School earlier this month, and the actor will perform on the world’s longest running live radio programme The Grand Ole Opry this Saturday, June 19. “I’ve been listening to the Opry since I was a little kid,” Hall told the Tennessean. “I wanted to play guitar ever since I heard Roy Rogers and Gene Autry in the movies. I wanted to be a musician since I was 7 years old.”
“I’m 50 percent nervous about the Opry and 50 percent looking forward to it like I’ve never looked forward to anything else,” he continued. “My wife and I have been watching what Nashville went through with the flood, but to (play) the Ryman is such a wonderful strange twist of fate. All I want to do is be in tune and sound good. How many people get the opportunity to play on the Opry stage?”
Learn More About Cibrian’s Departure From ‘Miami’
Wednesday, June 16th, 2010‘Miami’ Lets Cibrian Go
Wednesday, June 16th, 2010Following the announcement that CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is dropping Liz Vassey (Wendy Simms) from the series, it has now been revealed that CSI: Miami is making a similar decision. CBS has chosen not to pick up Eddie Cibrian‘s contract, meaning that Jesse Cardoza will not be returning to the Sunshine State in season nine.
Cibrian was one of several actors added to the Miami cast at the start of season eight in the wake of Adam Rodriguez‘s (Eric Delko) departure from the show. Rodriguez appeared periodically throughout the season, and as CSI Files previously reported, the actor will be reinstated as a full time cast member in the fall. However, it has not been revealed whether Rodriguez’s return influenced the decision not to renew Cibrian’s contract.

Part of that response includes being invited to perform at The Grand Ole Opry on June 19, and he’s looking forward to sharing his folksy, Americana sound with even more listeners. “This is sort of a Warp 10 for me,” Hall shared. “I’m not scared. I am thrilled.”
“I know it’s going to go well, but I don’t want to think about it too much because it’s almost overwhelming,” the actor continued. “I lived in Virginia for awhile, growing up, and I listened to the Opry. So many wonderful musicians have played there you can’t name them all. Anyone who is anyone in country music. It’s the highest honor.”
