Former ‘Miami’ Actress De La Garza Is Expecting

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

Alana de la Garza, best known to fans of CSI: Miami as Eric Delko’s (Adam Rodriguez) sister Marisol, announced that she and husband Michael Roberts are expecting their first child in October. De la Garza joined the cast of Law & Order after her Miami character was killed in season four’s “Rampage”, and she has been with the veteran NBC drama for the past four seasons.

Art will imitate life when the time comes to address the actress’s baby bump. “They’re going to write it in, which is really exciting especially since Law & Order isn’t really a character-driven show,” de la Garza told People. “My character doesn’t have a boyfriend, she’s not married, no love interest … in the season finale there’s a scene in a bar and I was joking around with everyone as we were filming, saying, ‘Oh, I think tonight’s the night Connie gets knocked up!’”

Thanks to Destiny from TalkCSI for the heads up.
