‘New York’ Takes The Top Spot Against New Competition

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Uncertainty Rules”, won its timeslot on Wednesday, March 3; however, ratings were down against new competitor Law & Order: SVU. New York pulled in 12.45 million viewers and a 3.1 rating/9 share in the 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. SVU aired back-to-back episodes from 9:00-11:00pm, and the show came in second with 9.04 million viewers and 3.0/9 in the 10:00pm hour. The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special was a distant third with 4.37 million viewers and 1.3/4 in the key demo.

‘Miami’ Takes Second Place Against ‘The Bachelor’

The latest episode of CSI: Miami, “LA”, fell short of winning its timeslot on Monday, March 1. It pulled in 12.01 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/9 share in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers. This put it behind The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love – After the Final Rose season finale special on ABC. The second half of a two-hour episode of Law and Order was third at 10:00pm with 7.86 million viewers and 2.1/6 in the demo.
