Ozzy Osbourne Song To Premiere On ‘New York’

1 min read

CSI: New York will feature the world premiere of Ozzy Osbourne‘s new song “Let Me Hear You Scream” during the upcoming episode “Redemptio” on Wednesday, April 14. (Spoilers after the jump!)

“Let Me Hear You Scream” is from Osbourne’s upcoming album, Scream. The song will be played during a prison riot scene in “Redemptio”, which finds Dr Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper) facing a tragic event from his past when he is called to Pennsylvania to visit an inmate on death row. The riot erupts while Hawkes is in the prison, trapping him in the middle the chaos.

“We were looking for something high energy and irreverent to sell the madness of a prison riot,” explained executive producer Peter Lenkov, who penned the episode with Bill Haynes. “We immediately responded to the new Osbourne tune. The song exceeded our expectations and brought exactly the right tone to the episode.”

Osbourne spent time in prison in the United Kingdom for burglary before his eighteenth birthday. He said, “When I heard they were going to use ‘Let Me Hear You Scream’ for a prison riot scene, I thought, ‘Well, now that’s something I know about.'”
