Friday, February 26th, 2010The 41st NAACP Image Awards took place on Friday, February 26. As CSI Files previously reported, CSI: New York‘s Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) hosted the event. The actor also took home the award for “Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series” for the third year in a row, beating out CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s leading man Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston). Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami‘s Eric Delko) also won this year, taking home the trophy for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture” for his role in the Tyler Perry film I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

Harper To Host ‘Image Awards’
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010CSI: New York‘s Hill Harper (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) will host the 41st NAACP Image Awards with Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog) on Friday, February 26. As CSI Files previously reported, Harper is also nominated this year. Fellow franchise actors Laurence Fishburne (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s Dr Raymond Langston) and Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami‘s Eric Delko) received Image Award nominations, along with CSI director Paris Barclay, and Rodriguez is scheduled to appear at the award show.
“Anika Noni Rose and Hill Harper are a part of a new generation of Hollywood that embodies the spirit of the Image Awards,” said NAACP Hollywood Bureau Executive Director Vicangelo Bulluck. “Their talent and success is inspiring and adds a sophisticated glamour to the evening.” The awards will be broadcast live on the Fox network.

Eric Delko will be back to the show full time 4 all of season 9!!!” CBS has confirmed that Rodriguez will indeed be returning to the show as a series regular next season.

Take A Sneak Peek At Rascal Flatts On ‘CSI’
Friday, February 19th, 2010CSI Files previously reported that country band Rascal Flatts would be appearing in the upcoming CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode “Unshockable”. Miller Supports Diversity On And Off Screen
Friday, February 19th, 2010CSI: Miami actor Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) stars in the current film Blood Done Sign My Name, which is based on the true story of racial injustice in a small town in North Carolina during the 1970s. The actor and his family moved to Orange County, California in the 1980s, and “we were the only black family on the block,” Miller told USA Weekend. Now that he’s an adult, diversity plays a role in “every decision that I make in my work and how I am as a person. That’s why I really think that people take to me on the screen. I’m not glamorous. I don’t look like a movie star per se. I look like a regular person who they may know.”
Fishburne Considered For ‘Contagion’
Thursday, February 18th, 2010CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s leading man Laurence Fishburne (Dr Ray Langston) has been eyed for a role in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh film Contagion. The $60 million movie is about a deadly virus outbreak that finds an international team of medical professionals travelling to four continents in an attempt to contain it. Actors already signed on for the movie include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, and Marion Cotillard. Fishburne is set to play a major character in Contagion, but his involvement will be dependent on his CSI schedule.
